Philippians 3

1 For the rest, my brothers: rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you is, for my part, no burden, and for you it is a safeguard. ◈◈

2 Watch out for the dogs, watch out for the evil workers, watch out for the mutilation. ⌘◈

3 For we are the circumcision — we who worship by the Spirit of God, and boast in Christ Jesus, and have put no confidence in flesh — ⌘◈◈

4 though I myself have ground for confidence even in flesh. If anyone else thinks he has ground for confidence in flesh, I more: ◈◈

5 as to circumcision, eighth-day; of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin; a Hebrew born of Hebrews; as to law, a Pharisee; ◈◈

6 as to zeal, a persecutor of the assembly; as to righteousness — the righteousness in the law — having become blameless. ⌘◈

7 But whatever things were gains to me, these I have come to regard as loss because of Christ. ◈◈

8 Yes, and more than that — I go on considering everything to be loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I was made to lose it all; and I consider it refuse, so that I may gain Christ, ◈◈◈⌘

9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, the one from law, but the one through faith of Christ — the righteousness from God, resting on faith, ⌘◈◈

10 so as to know him — and the power of his resurrection, and participation in his sufferings — being conformed to his death, ◈◈⌘

11 if somehow I may attain to the resurrection out from the dead. ⌘◈◈◈

12 Not that I have already taken hold of it, or have already been brought to completion — but I press on, to see whether I may lay hold of that for which I was myself laid hold of by Christ. ⌘◈

13 Brothers, I do not count myself to have laid hold of it. But one thing: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, ⌘◈◈

14 with my eye on the mark I press on toward the prize of God’s upward call in Christ Jesus. ◈

15 So then, as many as are mature — let us be minded this way; and if in anything you are minded otherwise, God will reveal this also to you. ⌘◈

16 Only — as far as we have come, let us keep in step by the same [rule]. ⌘◈

17 Become fellow imitators of me, brothers, and fix your attention on those who walk in this way, just as you have us as a pattern. ⌘

18 For many walk — of whom I used to tell you often, and now tell you even weeping — as enemies of the cross of Christ, ◈

19 whose end is destruction, whose god is the belly and whose glory is in their shame — they whose minds are set on the things of the earth. ◈✦

20 For our citizenship is in the heavens, and from there we are eagerly awaiting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, ⌘◈◈◈

21 who will transform the body of our humiliation to share the form of the body of his glory, in line with the working by which he is able also to subject all things to himself. ◈⌘◈
