Philippians 2

1 If, then, there is any encouragement in Christ, any consolation of love, any fellowship of the Spirit, any inward affections and mercies — ⌘◈

2 fill up my joy: that you think the same thing, having the same love, joined in soul, thinking the one thing — ⌘

3 nothing out of rivalry, nothing out of empty conceit, but in humility considering one another as surpassing yourselves — ◈

4 each of you looking not to your own interests, but each of you also to the interests of others. ⌘

5 Think this among yourselves, which was also in Christ Jesus — ⌘◈◈

6 who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be seized, ◈◈◈◈⌘

7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming to be in the likeness of men; and being found in outward appearance as a man ◈◈◈⌘

8 he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death — and death by a cross. ◈⌘◈◈

9 Therefore God also exalted him to the highest place and graciously gave him the name that is above every name, ⌘✦◈◈◈

10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow — of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the earth — ✦◈◈◈◈

11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. ⌘✦◈◈◈

12 Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed — not only when I was present, but now much more in my absence — keep working out your own salvation with fear and trembling, ◈◈

13 for God is the one at work in you, producing both the willing and the working, for the sake of his good pleasure. ◈◈◈

14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, ✦◈

15 so that you may become blameless and unmixed, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine like luminaries in the world, ✦⌘◈

16 holding forth the word of life — so that on the day of Christ I will have grounds for boasting, that I did not run in vain nor labor in vain. ◈✦

17 But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and priestly service of your faith, I rejoice — and I rejoice together with you all. ◈◈

18 And in the same way you also rejoice, and rejoice together with me. ◈◈

19 But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, so that I too may be cheered when I learn how things stand with you. ⌘

20 For I have no one else of like soul with me, who will genuinely care about your affairs. ◈

21 For they all seek their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ. ◈

22 But you know his tested worth: that as a child serves a father, he served with me for the gospel. ◈

23 So then, this is the one I hope to send — as soon as I can see clearly how things stand with me — and to send him immediately. ⌘

24 And I am confident in the Lord that I myself will also come soon. ⌘

25 But I considered it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus — my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, and your apostle and minister to my need — ◈

26 since he had been longing for you all, and was in anguish because you had heard that he fell ill. ⌘

27 For indeed he fell ill, close to death — but God had mercy on him, and not on him only but on me too, so that I might not have grief upon grief. ⌘◈

28 So I have sent him all the more eagerly, so that when you see him again you may rejoice, and I myself may be less anxious. ⌘

29 So welcome him in the Lord with all joy, and hold men like him in honor — ◈

30 because for the work of Christ he came right up to death, staking his own life to fill up what was lacking in your service to me. ⌘◈◈
